Gaze into the light of the outdoor fire or sip a cool drink while lounging on the deck; you'll find peaceful times at Maple Ridge. Just a walk away from hiking trails & swimming, Maple Ridge cottage in the woods, is sure to capture your heart. Maple Ridge area: Maple Ridge is located in the Hiawatha National Forest on 2 wooded quiet acres. The cabin can sleep up to 12 guests as follows: 3 queen beds, 1 twin bed, 1 sofa sleeper (main floor); 2 full rollaways and 1 queen air mattress! Pete's Lake area is within walking distance, only 1/2 mile from Maple Ridge and has a nice beach and swimming area, fishing pier, picnic tables and grills. Hiking trails all over the place in our neck of the woods and lots of inland fishing lakes. Bring your boat and canoe along and trailer to many, many area lakes. A fire in the fire pit will be great fun at night to make s'mores. Grill your fresh catch on the charcoal grill or if you didn't 'strike out' you can always go into Munising and purchase some fresh Lake Superior trout! Take the short drive, on our beautiful Federal Forest Hwy, into Munising to enjoy Pictured Rocks cruise, glass bottom boat rides, golfing, charter fishing, shopping, and more, and then enjoy your time back at the cottage with peace and quiet in the woods.
